Films: The Beyond (1981)
Alias: Undead Hellspawn
Type: Mystical
Location: Haunted home/Eldritch Area
Height/Weight: From that of tarantulas to average humans.
Affiliation: Evil
Summary: If your idea of Hell is a hotel that operates on unseen logic, then first of all, how did you come up with a Hell that specific? Also, it's right here.
History: Painter Schweick was accused of dark magic by a lynch mob in 1927, and killed for it. He never got to finish his magnum opus, which still resides in the Seven Doors Hotel in Louisiana. But that painting was indeed dark, as it is actually a gateway to Hell itself. Now, the hotel is infested with evil and dead walking to kill the living, but mostly in room 36.
Notable Kills: Nothing special.
Final Fate: Long story short, everyone involved with this place is in Hell now. A barren, parched wasteland is the true Hell, and now we can only hope the hotel itself gets demolished for bad customer reviews.
Powers/Abilities: Total omnipotence.
Weakness: None.
Scariness Factor: 4.5-Under no circumstances should you EVER enter this hotel. A gateway to Hell is not so easily closed, and sometimes, the minions won't remain just in the building to kill what they want...
Trivia: -This film was not released in the U.S. until 1983.
-This was the second film in Lucio Fulci's "Gates of Hell" trilogy, preceded by "City of the Living Dead" and "The House by the Cemetary".
